Sonex Rehab Project Update

Sonex Rehab Project Update

It’s all coming together, albeit a bit later than I had hoped. Isn’t that always the way?

Here is my most recent update video:

You may remember me from Rehab Overview and Will it Start, Rounds 1 and 2.

Update to the Update

Since the video was published, I now have everything I need here in the Left Seat garage to finish this project. Still working out some details with the graphics. It’s actually quite difficult to find someone to make them right now with all this Covid-19 business.

My Aero Conversions throttle is still on backorder. The new vernier mixture control should be in this week. Both of these are “nice to haves” though as the airplane is already equipped with both. Regardless of how I feel about them.

Grip Lock Ties Review

I also started replacing my old worn out zip ties with fancy new Grip Lock Ties. They definitely a premium product compared to your everyday cheapos, but for the right project, they’re well worth it. The secret to their awesomeness lies in the rubber strip molded into each tie. This protects any hose or wire you affix them to from any vibration induced damage or scuffing.

They won’t replace your “dime a dozen” ties for everything, but they’re perfect for any application where damage or rubbing is a concern. You can buy them direct from Grip Lock Ties:

Back to the garage!

Perseverance is not a long race, it is many short races, one after the other.
