I’m Matt, and I was inspired to start this blog after we (my wife and I) bought an experimental airplane. We’re looking forward to the adventures we’ll have in our little Sonex and will be sharing them with you!

While reflecting on my personal flight journey, I realized how many great opportunities I’ve had. All of them by getting out there and networking. All the non-pilots I’ve met over the years who “didn’t know you could do that with a [personal] airplane.” Hopefully, I inspired a few of them to pursue their dream of flight.

I’ll be bringing you content covering specific flights and training, experiences that are easily unlocked with the personal airplane, gear reviews on what I actually own and have spent my own money on, and a podcast aimed at inspiring people to finally live their dreams and help coach them along the way.

I’ve been a gearhead longer than I’ve been a pilot, other fun vehicles may be coming your way too. No matter what, the main theme here is adventure. After all:
